Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225g) digestive biscuits or tea biscuits, broken into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (170g) dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: nuts, dried fruits, or crushed candy for added texture

  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter, sugar, and cocoa powder together until smooth.

  6. Refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours, or until the cake is completely set.
  7. Once firm, remove from the pan, slice, and serve chilled.
