  • 12 medium to large strawberries

  • Optional: candy eyeballs and chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberries: Wash the strawberries thoroughly and pat them dry with paper towels. Ensure they are completely dry to allow the chocolate to adhere properly.
  2. Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white or dark chocolate in 20-30 second intervals, stirring between each until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Dip the Strawberries: Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, coating it evenly. Allow excess chocolate to drip off before placing it onto parchment or wax paper.
  4. Create Ghost Strawberries: After dipping in white chocolate, place two candy eyeballs on each strawberry to create eyes. Use chocolate chips to add a mouth or other ghostly features if desired. Let set until firm.
  5. Create Mummy Strawberries: After the initial white chocolate coating, drizzle additional lines of white chocolate back and forth over the strawberry to mimic mummy wraps. Add candy eyeballs before the drizzle sets. Allow to harden.
  6. Make Halloween Sprinkle Strawberries: Dip strawberries in your choice of chocolate, then immediately sprinkle with Halloween-themed sprinkles before the chocolate sets. Set aside to harden.
  7. Prepare Zombie Strawberries: Dip strawberries in white chocolate, then sprinkle with green sanding sugar to give a zombie effect. Add candy eyeballs as eyes while chocolate is still wet. Let them firm up.
  8. Create Halloween Pumpkin Strawberries: Dip strawberries in white chocolate, then cover them in orange sanding or sparkling sugar to resemble pumpkins. Optionally, add candy eyeballs and chocolate chips for extra decoration. Allow to set completely.
  9. Set and Serve: Place all decorated strawberries in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes or until chocolate is completely hardened. Serve chilled for best taste.

Notes

  • Make sure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to prevent chocolate from seizing.
  • You can use melting wafers or high-quality baking chocolate for best results.
  • Adjust designs according to personal preference or available decorations.
  • Store strawberries in a cool place or refrigerator and consume within 2 days for optimal freshness.
  • If chocolate thickens, reheat gently in short bursts to maintain a smooth consistency.
